Strutting their stuff: Models show off Ed Hardy swimwear on the catwalk at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami Beach

There can be no better place to show off your new swimsuit than Miami Beach, yard from Ocean Drive.

So it is no accident that the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim happens in that very spot, moments from the water.

Since it began six years ago, the event has become the place to showcase top swimwear and last night it was the turn of Ed Hardy.

Distinctive: The swimwear is decorated with bright, tattoo-like designs

The funky label, fast becoming a firm favourite of celebrities in the U.S., produces clothing based on the designs of renowned American tattooist Don Ed Hardy.

Models, many with feathery fascinators in their hair, strutted up and down the catwalk in ultra-skimpy bikinis and corset-style, studded tankinis.

Male models also showed off brightly-decorated board shorts as guests and buyers looked on from the luxurious surroundings of the art-deco Raleigh Hotel.

Surf's up: A male model shows off a customised board as one girl tips a wink

Ed Hardy clothing only started eight years ago when the tattooist decided he could set up a line based on his art.

Christian Audigier, formerly of Von Dutch, licensed the rights to produce the line in 2004 and it now has shops across the U.S., Asia and Europe.

As with his former employer, Audigier has targeted celebrities and helped build it into a multi-million company.

Madonna has been spotted wearing an Ed Hardy baseball cap and Whoopi Goldberg in Ed Hardy shoes

Turning up the heat: Dita Von Teese turns heads during Jean Paul Gaultier's Couture show today

Couture week may be all about high fashion but at Jean Paul Gaultier's show it was Dita Von Teese's performance that left guests stunned.

Leaving very little to the imagination, it was definitely a case of less is more when the burlesque dancer took to the catwalk as the designer's piece de resistance.

Sporting a black cutaway dress, Dita began to remove her clothes, revealing a backstitch corset and suspenders.

The outfit forms part of a new collaboration between France's former enfant terrible and lingerie designer La Perla. The one-off range will include a throwboack to Madonna's iconic outfit worn on her Ambition tour in 1990.

The range includes waist-cinching corset, extra-high briefs, bodysuit and bras inspired by the queen of pop's cone bra.

The collection comes in black and powder pink with accents of coral and will be available from November in selected department stores, retailing from £400.

Stripped: The burlesque dancer removed her little black dress to reveal a corset, stockings and suspenders

Muse: Dita's dance formed part of Gaultier's Paris-inspired theme which featured limited edition lingerie in collaboration with La Perla

Gaultier's show today featured a recurring theme, glamour, glamour and more glamour.
Inspired by the French capital, models were adorned with structured headpieces, fur stoles and cigarette holders.

Textures included silk, velvet, sequins with neoprene and zip detailing adding a contrasting futuristic twist

Glamour girls: Sequins, sheer and headpieces featured heavily with a musical bride in traditional white

Acid brights dotted a sea of classic monochrome as lace added evening sophistication.
Gaultier's bride wore white, walking the runway while playing a violin as the theatrical performance was nothing but drama and high impact, culminating in Dita's striptease.

Despite being American, Gaultier's muse formed the essence of Parisian chic.

Gaultier said: 'The Paris woman is everywhere today, everywhere but Paris.'

Drama: Acid brights dotted the monochrome collection, which included fur stoles and gloves

Paris, je t'aime: Gaultier's show laments the loss of Parisian women, claiming they can no longer be found in the French capital

Racy in lace: Sophisticated evening glamour and fishnet stockings are Gaultier's signature styles

Megan Fox seductively works the camera in new Emporio Armani underwear advert

Actress Megan Fox pouts for the camera in a new TV advert for Emporio Armani

As if Megan Fox doesn't already get enough hearts racing, this is sure to send pulses soaring sky high.

And if the still billboard photos of her modelling for Emporio Armani managed to stop traffic, expect a few TV and computer screens to overload with the release of her new TV commercial.

The Transformers star, shot in black and white, pouts seductively at the camera as it pans up and down her enviable figure that has made her an international sex symbol.

Scroll down to watch the advert...

The 30-second advert shows Megan, 23, posing in a lingerie set from the Italian fashion house's upcoming underwear collection.

Megan replaced Victoria Beckham after she was signed as the new face of Emporio Armani's Women’s Underwear for Spring/Summer 2010 last October.

She will also appear in advertising campaigns for this year's Armani Jeans collection

Just weeks after signing for Armani she went to Los Angeles to shoot the campaign with fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who also photographed Victoria Beckham for her campaign.

Megan's commercial was released today, almost a month after the huge billboards pictures went out across the world in major cities such as London, New York and Tokyo.

The camera slowly pans down her enviable figure......

......showing off her curves that have made her an international sex symbol

Megan's billboard poster campaign for Armani last month

And just like her billboard campaign, Megan's numerous tattoos - she has eight in total - were digitally removed from the commercial.

When she signed for the fashion label, the company's world-renowned designer Giorgio Armani said: 'Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit. Both Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about a youthful attitude, making her the perfect choice for the collections.'

Megan recently caused a stir with another of her advertising campaigns, this time for a phone for telecommunications company Motorola, in which she appeared naked in a bath.

The advert, which was broadcast during last Sunday's Super Bowl, showed the actress surrounded by bubbles wondering what would happen if she sent out a picture of herself using the phone's 'Motoblur' feature.

There was also much specualtion that she had used a thumb double for the ad after it was revealed that she suffers from Brachydactyly, a condition that results in shortness of the fingers and toes.
