Winner: Sami Khedira (left) nodded a looping header to cap a fine World Cup
Germany's young team showed why they will be among the favourites to win the next World Cup when they came from behind to take the ‘bronze medal’ in South Africa.
On a rainy evening marked by continual jeers aimed towards the returning Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, Germany fought back from 2-1 down through the unlikely sources of Marcell Jansen and Sami Khedira.
Thomas Muller and Diego Forlan had earlier netted their fifth goals of the tournament to join David Villa and Wesley Sneijder as joint-leading scorers at the World Cup. Forlan was denied a sixth, and outright leadership of the Golden Boot race, by the crossbar with the last kick of the game.
But there was no dream 15th World Cup goal for German striker Miroslav Klose, who was frustratingly left on the bench with a back injury to stay one goal behind Ronaldo’s all-time record.
Crunch time: Marcell Jansen (left) heads Germany level, beating Uruguay keeper Fernando Muslera to the ball
This World Cup in the Rainbow Nation has been marked by the warm and friendly atmosphere at all stadiums. But there was little love shown towards Suarez, whose last-minute handball against Ghana denied the Africans a dream semi-final spot and earned him a ban causing him to miss the semi-final defeat against Holland.
His treatment from the fans did not seem to bother the Ajax striker initially as he set up Edinson Cavani for Uruguay’s equaliser after 28 minutes — 10 minutes after Muller had given Germany the lead when Fernando Muslera could only parry a Bastian Schweinsteiger shot.
Five star: Thomas Muller (centre) extended his World Cup scoring streak
But as the match wore on and the boos got louder, Suarez was twice denied by Hans-Jorg Butt. Youngsters like Mesut Ozil, 21, and 20-year-old Muller have breathed new life into German football and even an horrific early tackle from Dennis Aogo on Diego Perez that should have brought a red card failed to sway the neutrals supporting Joachim Low’s adventurous team.
Even so, Uruguay took the lead for the first time after 51 minutes with a beauty.
Arevalo Rios crossed from the right-hand side and Forlan swivelled to catch it on the volley, the ball bouncing into the ground and up past Butt.
Parity restored: Edinson Cavani (second left) hit Uruguay level at 1-1
Lesser teams than Germany would have accepted their fate in a relatively meaningless match.
Instead, they levelled after 56 minutes when Jerome Boateng’s high cross evaded Muslera and Jansen hardly needed to jump to head in at the far post between two defenders.
Stunner: Diego Forlan put Uruguay 2-1 up with his fifth goal of the tournament
The comeback was completed after 82 minutes when Ozil’s corner caused chaos in the Uruguay box and bounced off skipper Diego Lugano to holding midfield player Khedira, who made no mistake with a looping header from six yards.
Forlan had one chance to salvage a draw in injury-time but watched in disbelief as his curling free-kick thudded against the crossbar with Butt beaten.
URUGUAY ( 4-4 -2 ): Muslera; Fucile, Lugano, Godin, Caceres; Perreira, Rios, Perez (Gargano 77min), Cavani; Suarez, Forlan. Subs (not used): Castillo, Silva, Victorino, Scotti, Eguren, Pereira, Lodeiro, Gonzalez, A Fernandez, Abreu, S Fernandez.
GERMANY ( 4- 3-3 ): Butt; Boateng, Friedrich, Metersacker, Aogo; Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Jansen (Kroos 81); Muller, Cacau (Kiessling 73), Oezil. Subs (not used): Neuer, Wiese, Tasci, Badstuber, Lahm, Trochowski, Marin, Podolski, Klose, Gomez.
Referee: Benito Archundia (Mexico).

BEAST’s Doojoon reaction to his featuring in G.NA’s music video

If you guys have been keeping track with allkpop for the past few days, you guys would probably remember the lovey-dovey music video teaser scenes between BEAST’s Doojoon and the female rookie solo singer G.NA.
As a refresher, here are the two teasers of G.NA’s upcoming title track I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better, with the cameo of BEAST’s Junhyung as well!
With Doojoon’s charming gaze and the cute yet romantic cuddling scenes between him and G.NA, netizens are captivated by their ‘love relationship’ in these teasers.
Out of the blue, Doojoon definitely thinks the total opposite from netizens’ reactions. Through his Twitter he shyly expressed, “I can’t watch it because it looks too disgusting. Gina nuna fighting!” implying his embarrassment at watching himself.
CUBE Entertainment has revealed, “On the 14th, G.NA’s full music video and album will be released. Please look forward to her powerful debut performances.”

TOUR DE FRANCE 2010: Mark Cavendish claims back-to-back victories with storming stage six finish
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pypB6BC8-dsendofvid

By Ivan Speck in Gueugnon
Out in front: Mark Cavendish celebrates his win
Crisis, what crisis? Two stage victories on successive days have righted the world of Mark Cavendish and reasserted his pre-eminence in sprint cycling.
The nerves of Thursday which preceded his triumphant return to form in winning Stage 5 gave way to an imperious assurance in southern Burgundy.
Once he emerged from the slipstream of his HTC-Columbia lead-out man, Mark Renshaw, everyone lining the course here in Gueugnon knew there could be only one outcome.
Cavendish rode like a man who trusts his ability once more. The doubt has been banished and the
tears have given way to an omnipresent smile.
Leader of the pack: Cavendish rides out in front between Montargis and Gueugnon
Water view: The pack pass over a bridge in Montargis
Whether the 12th Tour de France stage victory of his career can launch him towards a belated assault on the green jersey remains doubtful, if for no other reason than it will be next Thursday before another stage is likely to end in a bunch sprint.
It didn’t stop Cavendish wearing green glasses on Friday. He said: ‘Green is my favourite colour and I was aiming for the green jersey when I came here. It would be nice to wear it again, but I messed up a bit on the cobbles and then in Wednesday’s sprint, so it will be a tall order.
‘If there’s a book of great riders written about the Tour de France and its history, I would like to be in that book. I’m the luckiest guy in cycling right now because I’ve got an incredibly committed bunch of guys working for me.’
The Briton’s pursuit of the green jersey was helped by a surprisingly lacklustre sprint from points leader Thor Hushovd and Cavendish may yet regret sitting up 50 metres from the line in Reims on Wednesday, thus missing out on valuable places.
Realistically it will take at least one more mishap to befall the Norwegian, as well as Alessandro Petacchi, for faint hope to run into reality.
Changing places: A mock postman swaps bikes with overall leader Fabian Cancellara (yellow jersey) before the start of stage six
Mischievous planning by the race organisers means that after the riders spent six hours in the saddle on Friday, sticking ice packs inside their cycling suits to minimise the sweltering heat, they will spend Saturday looking at the snow-crested tips of the Alps.
A rolling stage up to the ski resort of Rousses in the Jura mountains may offer an opportunity for
Geraint Thomas to launch an attempt to capture the first yellow jersey of his young career and the
first won by Team Sky if he can finish ahead of race leader Fabian Cancellara by at least 23 seconds on the hilly route.

Berlin Fashion Week: Bearded ladies are the models of choice at Patrick Mohr show

By Sophie Freeman
Fashion freaks: An extremely thin, bald and bearded female model, left, showcases the designs of Patrick Mohralongside an equally weird-looking male mannequin
Well it's certainly a strange way to try and sell clothes.
But putting bald skeletal women - naked from the waist up and sporting hideous beards - on the catwalk must have seemed like a good idea to designer Patrick Mohr.
The bearded ladies were joined by equally odd-looking male models on the runway at Berlin Fashion Week today wearing what appeared to be giant boxer shorts.
But they later emerged in actual outfits for the front-row fashionistas to gawp at instead.
It's not the first time the German designer has caused a stir with the way he presents his designs.
Last year he used homeless people alongside professionals to model his collection entitled The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions.
Smart decision: The models later emerged with some clothes on
It's rude to stare! The bearded ladies looked like something out of a horror film as they formed an orderly queue
And in January of this year, he showcased his clothes with the aid of sun-tanned bodybuilders and silicone-breasted, thong-wearing transvestites.
That show, Are We Shaved? centred around the idea that the differences between men and women is not that important.
Mohr founded his own label in 2008 just a year after graduating from the ESMOD Fashion School in Munich.
Out of this world: The models looked like aliens as they waited for their turn on the catwalk
The guilty man: German fashion designer Patrick Mohr takes to the stage after his bizarre show
