Stunning: Elle Macpherson wows in super tight PVC trousers at the launch of Britain's Next Top Model


At 47-years-old, most women would steer well clear of wearing PVC trousers.

But then most women aren't supermodel Elle Macpherson, who has attracted the nickname 'The Body' during her time in the modelling industry thanks to her long limbs and stunning figure.

And last night, the Australian-born beauty showed off her model credentials at the Britain's Next Top Model launch party in a pair of astonishingly tight shiny trousers.

Elle, who is the host of the new reality TV show, wore a loose white T-shirt with her PVC bottoms - teaming the whole look with a pair of super-high stiletto heels.

She was at the launch party for the new series of the show alongside fellow judges Julien Macdonald and Charley Speed as she proved to the contestants on the LIVING show exactly why she is the best mentor as they start their journey in the industry.

Speaking about the show, Elle said: 'It has been the most amazing experience. I'm actually feeling quite sentimental about it.

'I've done a lot in my 30-year career and I'd have to say this really is one of the best experiences.'

The new series of the show begins on LIVING on Monday 5th July at 9pm and will see 25 hopefuls battle it out to be crowned Britain's Next Top Model.

Asked what makes a potential model stand out in the crowd, Elle said: 'When I'm looking for girls, I look for a girl that makes me look twice.

'There's something about her; something about her makes me want to know more about her.

'And that comes from within. It's not necessarily the way she looks.'

Elle took over from Lisa Snowdon as host of the show, but fellow judge Julien Macdonald thinks she is a perfect choice for the role.

He said: 'Elle ups the ante. She's 47 with the body of an 18 year old. She looks incredible. She's so inspiring.

'She doesn't have a stylist but she dresses like the most glamorous rock star's wife. If I was a woman, I wouldn't mind being Elle.'

The new series of Britain's Next Top Model begins on LIVING on Monday 5th July from 9pm.
