Mentor: Cheryl is incredibly strict when it comes to alcohol and has banned her contestants from drinking


Cheryl Cole has read the riot act to X Factor hopeful Cher Lloyd after discovering the young wannabe was smuggling vodka into her room.

The star takes her role as a mentor on the ITV1 show very seriously and she has forbidden her acts from drinking.

Cheryl, 27, told her contestants Katie Waissel, Treyc Cohen, Rebecca Ferguson and Cher that they must quit booze if they want to win the show.

‘But Cheryl was told Cher was holding a drink at a Tinie Tempah gig and has been sneaking vodka into her room. She hit the roof and told Cher – who is 17 – that she’s not as grown-up as she thinks she is,’ says my X Factor insider.

‘Cheryl is incredibly strict when it comes to drinking. It used to cause a lot of tension within Girls Aloud.’

Racy: Miley Cyrus performed on German TV show Wetten, dass...? last night in a see-through white dress


She has been dressing much older than her age for quite some time now.

And as of this month Miley Cyrus will be able to wear all the see-through, leather and low-cut outfits she likes without causing a storm of controversy.

The soon-to-be 18-year-old, who reaches the milestone on November 23, was still raising eyebrows last night though when she performed in a sheer white dress that put her underwear on full display.

The revealing dress, made of white tulle material was completely see-through except for a design that slightly covered her stomach and chest.

The Hannah Montana star wore flesh-coloured body stocking beneath but her underwear was still obvious as she performed her new single Who Owns My Heart on German TV show Wetten, dass...?

To add to the risqué performance, Miley gyrated through a provocative routine with her back-up dancers, before settling in for a chat alongside actor Denzel Washington, appearing to promote new film Unstoppable.

The popstar has returned to Madrid today after her brief stint in Germany, where she will perform at the EMA Awards.

Miley has remained tight-lipped about her performance, but hinted yesterday that it will feature an 'Angels and Demons' theme.

She told MTV News at rehearsals in Madrid on Friday 'It’s [about the idea] that during this world, you’re always going to have temptation. Basically that’s kind of the whole vibe.'

The Party in the USA singer has been in the Spanish capital ahead of the EMA Awards, and held a fan event on Friday before heading to a bar with friends in the evening.

She was criticised in the US, where the legal drinking age is 21, when she was spotted drinking a Corona beer at the bar, but she was not breaking any laws as the legal drinking age of 18 is a somewhat relaxed rule in Spain.

Miley also revealed her desire to spend quality time with her family for her milestone birthday.

Her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are currently going through a very public split, with allegations emerging this week that Tish had an affair with Bret Michaels.

Tellingly, Miley said of her birthday plans: 'I'm not going to go crazy. Just have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family ... because that would be really cool. I think we need time to all be together.'

She added: 'That would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something. [I have] no idea [where we're going]; somewhere near water. I'm a water baby - I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat.'

On top of her parents' separation, Miley also appears to be 'off' again with on/of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Australian Liam, who met Miley in June 2009 on the set of their film The Last Song, has been enjoying the female attention in his home country at the Melbourne Cup races this week.

The pair dated throughout filming but ended their relationship in August. They appeared to have rekindled the romance in September but have been spending an increasing amount of time apart.

A source tells People magazine: 'Their on-and-off-again relationship is currently off. But you never know with Miley and Liam. They could be back on at some point.'

Adds another source says: 'There was no drama. The relationship just ran its course. They were good friends first and remain friends.'

She has been the clear winner by a mile so far in this series, outshining Cheryl Cole in the style stakes week after week in an assortment of elegant dresses.

But Dannii Minogue suffered her first loss last night after she missed the mark in an unflattering gold shift that looked more Christmas ornament than couture.

The £640 dress, by Liverpool-based designer Philip Armstrong, was certainly in keeping with her chic approach to this year's style wars.

But unfortunately for Dannii, the heavy gold material did not flatter her stunning figure well, making her appear heavier than in reality.

The 38-year-old added nude Brian Atwood heels to the eye-catching dress, and a sleek up 'do.

While Dannii suffered her first loss in the style stakes, Cheryl hasn't gained much ground.

The Promise This singer did not impress much either, wearing a flimsy lingerie-inspired mini dress.

The barely there frock, by Emilio Pucci, included a very short asymmetric hemline and lace paneling.

Cheryl, 27, teamed the flimsy dress with Christian Louboutin stilettos and a black feather fascinator.

It was a safe choice for the singer, who has stuck to mostly short hemlines and lace throughout the competition so far, in contrast to Dannii's more grown-up style.

The Australian judge has favoured dresses by Victoria Beckham and her own Project D line, which has proved a winning formula.

Despite an overall lead, Dannii insists her wardrobe is much less prepared this series than in previous years.

'Last year at this time I had pretty much organised every outfit, but this time I am only just starting to get stuff together and we are only a couple of weeks away,' she said recently.

'I am completely unorganised so I will be excited if I get out with a frock on the right way and I haven't got my shoes on my head.'

Miss Minogue's natural style has seemingly worked in her favour in most instances, while Cheryl's team of stylists struggle to catch up.

As previously reported by MailOnline, Cheryl is styled by Frank Strachan, known as the 'Ferrari of stylists', with her budget for hair and make-up said to be an astonishing £80,000 and clothes £70,000.

Dannii meanwhile was said to spend around £2,000 per live show for her wardrobe and relies on Australian designers such as her good friends J'Aton Couture and her own line Project D to lend her clothes.

700 fans to attend private screening of “GANTZ”

It’s been announced that a private showing of the upcoming movie “GANTZ” will be held on November 29th. Approximately 700 lucky fan will get to experience the movie first, surrounded by their favorite actors!

As many of you know already, “GANTZ” was originally a popular manga written by Oku Hiroya. It’s a story about Kei Kurono and his friend Masaru Kato, who die in a train accident and become part of a game. They must join other deceased individuals in order to hunt down and kill aliens armed with futuristic weapons.

Ninomiya Kazunari (Arashi), Matsuyama Kenichi, Yoshitaka Yuriko, Hongo Kanata, and Natsuna were slotted to play the main roles.

The first part of “GANTZ” will be released on January 29th 2011, and the second part will be released in spring 2011.

9nine, the 5-member girl group, held a secret live in Tokyo on November 6th in celebration of their upcoming single, “Cross Over“. This will be their first single after shuffling around with record labels and group members.

The secret live was the first performance of their new single, in which they showed off their “Propeller dance”. Fans have affectionately attached this moniker to the choreography due to the way the girls spin their arms.

The members also said during the live that they would like to perform at the Kouhaku next year.

Lily Chou-Chou reunites after nine years

Kobayashi Takeshi and Salyu have announced the reunion of the pop unit “Lily Chou-Chou“, who will be releasing a new single on December 8th and performing a live show on the 15th.

Lily Chou-Chou was originally formed back in 2001 as a unit for the film “All About Lily Chou-Chou.” At the time, Kobayashi and Salyu were under the supervision of movie director Iwai Shunji, and together the three of them created the singles “Glide,” “Kyoumei,” and the album “Kokyuu.” However, as soon as the film was released, the unit stopped creating music together and all the members went back to their solo work in their respective fields.

Now, over nine years later, Lily Chou-Chou will be reviving its musical efforts with a new addition to the group. It will feature Kobayashi Takeshi (production, composition, keyboard), Nagoshi Yukio (guitar), and Salyu (vocals). To kick off the reunion and restart, the unit has opened up an official site, Youtube channel, Twitter account, and Facebook account. The Youtube channel has already launched a teaser for the new single that will be coming out in December.

Lady Jane makes her debut with Simon D on Inkigayo

After making her debut through M! Countdown, Lady Jane resumed promoting her debut single on Inkigayo on November 7th after giving Music Bank and Music Core a pass.

There’s certainly no doubting the talents of Lady Jane, as she was once the vocal for indie band Tiramisu in 2008. Her single album was released last week, and her title song, “Breaking Up Isn’t Everything,” features her powerful vocals along with a synth pop, modern rock sound.

And it wasn’t just a simple debut stage for Lady Jane, as her real-life boyfriend, and Supreme Team member, Simon D, appeared during her stage to rap and show us that she is his woman.
