Turning Japanese: Fans go crazy as Bieber fever sweeps through Asia

Clearly Justin Bieber's fan base is universal.

The 16-year-old pop sensation caused quite a commotion in Japan today when a huge group of fans descended on a theme park for a meet and greet with the star.

The Baby, Baby singer was at La Qua Garden in Tokyo, Japan to promote his new book and receive a gold record for sales of his album in Japan.

Justin performed three of his hits for the crowd of thousands of screaming fans who had waited for hours in the pouring rain to catch a glimpse of the star.

Justin Tweeted his excitement about the trip and voiced his love of an unusual item.
'In Japan...land of the amazing heated toilet seats....ready to start the day,' the star wrote on his Twitter page.

Justin flew into Japan from Hawaii yesterday after spending the weekend partying on a boat with Will Smith's son Jayden, who recently worked with Justin on the theme song to his film Karate Kid.

Justin also spent time on the tropical island with rumoured girlfriend Jasmine Villegas.

Yesterday marked the release of Justin's first autobiography First Step To Forever: My Story in which he explains how his 'life changed so much, so fast.'

On top of releasing the book and continuing his World Tour he is also releasing a line of nail polishes inspired by his hit songs.

The nail polish range, called One Less Lonely Girl, will include six polishes designed by Bieber.

They include One Less Lonely Glitter, a glittery purple polish; Prized Possession Purple, a grape-coloured polish; Give Me The First Dance, a silver polish; Me +Blue, a dark blue; OMB!, a bright red polish and Step 2 the Beat of My Heart, a polish of purple heart-shaped glitter.

The polishes will debut in the U.S. exclusively at Walmart this December.
