Sun worshippers: Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna have a giggle during the calendar shoot in Herefordshire


Just a week after the Mail Online revealed Jennifer Metcalfe paid £2,000 for vaser liposuction, the actress has been photographed showing off her new body in a Hollyoaks calendar shoot.

The 26-year-old posed alongside her sexy co-stars in a skimpy black bikini, sparking speculation that the calendar shoot was the reason for her drastic cosmetic procedure.

Jennifer, who plays Mercedes Fisher in the Channel 4 soap, was joined by Carley Stenson, Claire Cooper, Jorgie Porter, Gemma Merna, Saira Choudhry and new-comer Alice Barlow.

The girls frolicked in the sun around a luxury converted barn in Herefordshire over two days for the 2011 calendar which will be released later this year.

All of the girls flaunted incredible bodies, without a trace of fat on any of them and some were even showing off six packs.

No wonder Jennifer felt pressure to look her best, when 18-year-old Alice Barlow, who plays Rae, was jumping around with a washboard stomach.

Meanwhile Carley, 22, who plays Steph Cunningham, threw around a frisby in tiny shorts with her co-star Jorgie Porter, 22, who plays Theresa McQueen.

Claire Cooper, 28, who plays Jacqui McQueen seemed to be slightly more conservative than her counterparts by wearing long blue tights accompanying her bikini top.

While lads mag favourite Gemma Merna, 26, who plays Carmel Valentine, lay with Metcalfe in the grass wearing provocative black lingerie.

Alice and Saira were very keen to try out the rowing boat in the pond while taking a break from filming in the scorching heat.

A source from the photo shoot said: ‘The girls got on really well, there was no bitchiness and they seemed to enjoy each others company.’
