Britain's Got Talent: Tears, tantrums and heartbreak as final round of auditions ends in style

Emotional: Dance group A3 were tearful after performing but the trio went sailing through to the semi-final

The final round of auditions for Britain's Got Talent were as bizarre as ever tonight with a miming pig, a pole dancer and a Madonna drag act all performing for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.

There were tantrums and tears, but the most emotional moment of the night came when brothers Amukheani, Arnold and Anthony, otherwise known as A3, broke down after their performance.

'It just means so much and we've practised so hard as a family. It's all we want to do.' said Arnold.

Band of brothers: The trio from Swansea wowed the judges with their talent and commitment

The sensitive trio, from Swansea, even brought a tear to the eye of host Ant McPartlin, who was watching from backstage.

'He's got me going now,' he said. But the judges were full of praise for the youngsters who danced to Prodigy hit Firestarter, before switching to a Michael Jackson medley.

'I like the fact that you’re three brothers and you worked really hard to be here,' said Piers.

And while Simon told the boys that their routine 'ran out of steam' towards the end, he said he was impressed by them.

'Exceptionally talented, love your enthusiasm, love your commitment and love the fact that you're brothers as well.'

Unimpressed: Judges Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell look on in horror as AliBaba perform

Time of their life? AliBaba perform a move from Dirty Dancing, but the Turk almost drops his partner

The most bizarre performance came at the start of the show when a woman named Christine brought her pet pig to mime to the Michael Jackson hit Beat It.

‘I didn’t believe you when you said he was going to mime to the record,’ remarked Simon.

‘Does he do other songs? I don’t think it was quite the Michael Jackson tribute everyone was expecting,’ he added before putting them through to the next round.

Meanwhile pole dancer Alesia Vazmitel impressed the judges with her flexibility.

‘That was mesmerising,’ said Piers while Simon quipped, ‘I’ve never seen anyone do that with a pole before.’

Dance group Peridot had the audience on their feet with an energetic routine.

Splash of colour: Dance Flavourz were put through to the next round, even though Simon said he didn't know what to do with them

Crowd pleasers: Dance group Peridot had the audience up in the seats, but Simon told them they had a long way to go

However Simon warned the boys that there were stronger dance acts in the competition and told them they’d have to work twice as hard if they were to make it through.

Next up were Ali Baba, a double act consisting of friends Memit and Kelsey, whose strange dance routine which included steps from Michael Jackson and Dirty Dancing, fell flat with the judges.

Memit stunned the crowd when he walked off stage after hearing two buzzers go off, but was convinced to return by hosts Ant and Dec.

‘It just seemed desperate,’ remarked Amanda before sending them home.

Meanwhile ventriloquist Stephen Florence launched an attack on the audience after they booed him during his routine with dummy Wellington.

'I could do some decent ventriloquism if you’d all shut up! You are rude people,’ he ranted before being asked to leave the stage.

Bewitched: Dance troupe with a twist: Fusion performed dressed as witches

On for a song: Father and son act Graham and James

Dance Flavourz, a troupe made up of 11 women and one man, performed for the judges next.

'That was really, really special and you are utterly compelling to watch,' Piers told them.

However Simon was less enthusiastic. 'If I'm being honest this is total, utter madness. I don't know what to do with you,' he said.

Dance troupe with a twist, Fusion performed dressed as witches and divided the judges.

'The costumes were very inventive,'said Piers. 'The choreography was fantastic. It was really quite sinister, you are a scary bunch.

Poledancer Alesia impressed the judges with her flexibility

Stars of the future? Eyebrow raising act Nathan (left) and Madonna tribute Phillip Grimmer

Singer Kev Orkian performed Elton John's I'm Still Standing - the scratched CD version - to the amazement of the judges.

Madonna tribute act Phillip Grimmer returned to the show two years after performing as Kylie Minogue.

'You have definitely improved,' Piers told him. But Simon disagreed.

'The problem was the dancing,' he said. 'The dancing was horrific.'

However Amanda said she enjoyed his performance. 'People underestimate just how much courage it takes for people to stand on that stage... I'm going to say yes.' she said.

Germany win as Spain are rudely interrupted by stage invader at Eurovision Song Contest

Intrusion: An unidentified man invades the stage as Daniel Diges from Spain performs his song Algo Pequenito (Something Tiny)

Germany were crowned the winners of the Eurovision song contest tonight after an eventful evening which saw Spain perform twice after their first attempt was interrupted by a stage invader.

The second ever German winner, Lena Mayer-Landrut, 19, took home the prize with her British-styled song Satellite.

And it may not have been the dreaded ‘nul points’ at last night’s Eurovision Song Contest – but the UK lived up to its pitiful record by finishing last for the third time in less than ten years.

Unwelcome guest: Diges was later allowed to perform again

Josh Dubovie, 19, was awarded a feeble ten points at the contest in Oslo, as Germany chalked up a clear victory.

There was a typically eccentric array of acts among the 25 entrants but the Essex teenager’s song, That Sounds Good To Me, obviously didn’t sound good to judges from the other countries.

The show had earlier got off to a bizarre when a man, who was wearing a T-Shirt which read Jimmy Jump.com, raced up to singer Daniel Diges while he performed Algo Pequenito (Something Tiny).

He then began to dance around the stage before being chased off by security guards.

Last place: Britain's entrant Josh Dubovie performs That Sounds Good To Me, but will he failed to impress the judges

First place: Singer Lena became the second ever German winner with her song Satellite

Germany’s Lena scored 246 points for her platinum-selling single, already a No 1 hit across mainland Europe.

Afterwards she said: ‘This is so great. I never thought something like this could ever happen to me.’

Ahead of last night’s show, Josh Dubovie's song had already been dubbed our worst ever Eurovision entry. Bookmakers Ladbrokes offered odds of 175-1 against Josh winning the competition, while the odds of him achieving the infamous ‘nul points’ were as low as 5-1.

Even the song’s composer Pete Waterman had admitted it was ‘highly unlikely’ the UK would win the 55th hosting of the event.

Taking flight: Belarus perform their song Butterflies during the contest in Oslo, Norway

Vision in red: Georgia's entrant Sofia Nizharadze performs the song Shine

He raced up to singer Daniel Diges while he performed Algo Pequenito (A Little Something) – and danced around before being chased off by security guards. Spain was allowed to perform again before voting closed.

This year’s contest also featured Welshman Jon Lilygreen representing Cyprus.

Jon, from Newport, performed with The Islanders, but they finished in the bottom half with Life Looks Better In Spring.

BBC host Graham Norton said after the results were announced: 'Poor old Josh. He gave a very credible performance tonight and he should be proud of himself but it wasn't to be.'

Norton hosted the show, his second time presenting the contest – after taking over from Sir Terry Wogan who stood down in 2008.

In full blossom: Eva Rivas from Armenia performs the song Apricot Stone

Danish treat: Chanee & N'evergreen from Denmark perform the song In A Moment Like This
The rules were changed last year after heavy criticism that political block voting by Eastern European nations skewed the competition.

For the first time, voting in the final was split between tele-voting and panels of musical experts.

Jade Ewen, who now sings in pop band Sugababes, was the UK’s 2009 entry and finished in fifth place after singing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s It’s My Time.

The musical impresario heavily promoted the song across Europe – helping to boost its profile.

In 2008 bin man Andy Abraham finished joint last prompting many – including Sir Terry – to question if there was any point in Britain taking part.

The last time the UK enjoyed victory in the competition was in 1997 when Katrina And The Waves won in Dublin with Love Shine A Light.

Watched by an audience of around 125 million across the continent, the Eurovision Song Contest was a more muted affair than usual as the economic crisis begins to bite.

Norway slashed the budget by a quarter and fewer countries are competing than usual because of financial reasons.

'Of course the economic crisis is affecting us, we have fewer countries competing this year and they all withdrew for the same reason - budget cuts,' said Svante Stockselius, executive supervisor of the contest.

The Czech Republic, Montenegro and Andorra dropped out of the competition altogether, while Hungary decided not to enter a contestant but will still air the show.

Saint Rihanna replaces video sinner: PVC clad 'dominatrix' wraps up for holy Israel visit

Saint or sinner? A modestly dressed Rihanna visits The Church Of The Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem today...

The world saw two very different faces of Rihanna today - the private saint and the public sinner.

In the morning her latest video emerged on the internet and it was as raunchy as we've come to expect from one of pops most daring performers, packed with faux-lesbianism and PVC outfits as she posed as a dominatrix.

Then in later in the day a much more modestly-dressed Rihanna popped up in Jerusalem, one of the world's most holy cities, for a whirlwind tour of its religious must-sees.

And while she wore little more than PVC underwear on screen, in person she was wrapped up in a demure maxi dress and sarong, with barely a scrap of flesh showing.

.... as this raunchy video for Te Amo was released on the web, showing her as a PVC-clad dominatrix

The singer chose the brightly coloured outfit for a day touring some of Jerusalem's most Holy sites.

These included The Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, said to be the site of Jesus Christ's tomb, and the Western Wall, one of the Jewish faith's most religious sites.

She also fitted in a spot of shopping at the Egyptian market, before she headed off to do some voluneteer work in Tel Aviv.

Covered up: A demure Rihanna visits the Western Wall, one of the Jewish faith's most important sites

Sight seeing: Rihanna toured Jerusalem, before doing volunteer work in Tel Aviv

But while Rihanna may have had a very holy day, the web was buzzing with talk of her latest music video for Te Amo.

The daring scenes portray the heterosexual Barbadian singer as a leather clad dominatrix, kissing and striking suggestive poses with dark-haired French supermodel Laeticia Casta.

The explicit video, leaked onto the web, even shows Rihanna as a dominatrix in sado masochistic bondage scenes.

The 22-year-old mounts the tied up Laeticia from behind, forcing her head down towards the bed.

She also crawls on top of her co-star as the pair, wearing matching PVC underwear, lie on a table.

Pilgramage: Rihanna soaks up the religious atmosphere as she visits one of the cities most holy sites

Mother-of-three Laeticia, 32, is no stranger to controversial music videos - she starred in Chris Isaak's Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing in 1999, which VH1 refused to air before the watershed.

The new video is set in the manicured grounds of the romantic 15th century Château de Vigny, just outside Paris.

It was directed by Anthony Mandler, whose casting call asked for 'beautiful, sexy and glamorous' females who are 'comfortable in their bodies'.

Demure: The singer couldn't have been more different to her video self

Daring: The video, leaked onto the web, was directed by Anthony Mandler

Mandler has directed videos for some of the world's biggest pop stars including Usher, Nelly Furtado, Eminem and Enrique Iglesias and Te Amo is the 11th time he has worked with Rihanna.

Writing on his Twitter page, Mandler enthused: 'Thanks to all of Rihanna’s fans for the long list of suggestions... we're gonna follow our instincts and give you guys something special...'

The isn't the first time Grammy winner Rihanna has pushed the boundaries with her videos. Her upcoming Rockstar 101 video shows her naked but for a few strategically placed chains

Getting close: The pair kiss and embrace throughout the video; Mother-of-three LaeticiaCasta is no stranger to controversial music videos

No shame: Rihanna wears little more than underwear in most of the shots

New bandmate: Black Eyed Peas welcome their new member Tom Cruise as they perform onstage at London's O2 Arena

When the Black Eyed Peas spotted an intruder onstage, they could have been excused for calling security.

But it was none other than movie star Tom Cruise, who had been secretly asked to join the band for their final song by singer Fergie.

The actor stunned fans - and Fergie's bandmates - when he took the stage at the band's London show at the O2 arena and even helped them perform their final song.
Peas' star will.i.am admitted: 'Even we were surprised - Fergie was the only one who knew about it.'

Rocking out: Tom and Fergie belt out I've Got A Feeling

But Cruise said he felt in no position to not hit the stage, after being encouraged by Fergie.

'Fergie gave me a formal invitation to come onstage,' Cruise said.

'The way she said it was, "Don't be a wuss, you've got to come on stage for the last song".'

Will.i.am said: 'He rocked out to I've Got A Feeling. The crowd loved it.'

Having a blast: Tom stole the show during the band's finale

New friends: Tom and wife Katie Holmes pose with singer Fergie

Cruise has grown close to the band after working with them on the soundtrack of his new movie Knight And Day.

'I met Will at a charity event and we said we've got to work together,' Tom recalled.

'Then afterwards we went to see the Peas over the Super Bowl weekend and afterwards we met up again.

Surprise duet: Tom Cruise and will.i.am on stage at the aftershow party last night; Tom had earlier joined the Black Eyed Peas at the O2 Arena

Working together: Will and Tom on Good Morning America today

'We were about three quarters of the way through shooting Knight And Day and I just thought, "We've got to have the Black Eyed Peas do a song. It's a perfect match."

'So Will came by the editing room and we showed him some scenes - and he just started writing the song there in the room.
'We were amazed - it was pretty incredible.'

Will.i.am said: 'I'm a fan of Tom's and I was so thrilled when they asked me to collaborate.'

In great shape: Janet Jackson wowed the audience at American Idol in her clinging jumpsuit with sheer panels

The show was all about finding the next big American Idol.

But while aspiring youngsters Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox anxiously waited in the wings, it was a veteran of the music scene who stole the show.

Janet Jackson revealed her newly slimline figure in a clinging low-cut jumpsuit, with sheer fishnet panels down the sides.

SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO...

The 44-year-old, whose weight has wildly fluctuated over the years, was on top form as she performed a gruelling eight-minute set.

She joined the 12 finalists onstage to perform her new single Again, followed by her song Nothing from the soundtrack of new Tyler Perry film Why Did I Get Married Too, wearing a black suit with red-lined sleeves.

Janet then shed the suit to unveil her eye-catching and unforgiving jumpsuit.

In great shape: Janet showed off her tiny waist in a clinging jumpsuit, as she performed Nasty from her 1986 album Control, surrounded by male dancers and green strobe lights

She turned up the energy levels with an intense, carefully choereographed routine, surrounded by a hoard of young male dancers.

Her third number was Nasty, from her 1986 studio album Control.

Janet seemed on top of her game, with her newly sleek shaved haircut reflecting her polished performance.

Still got it: At 44 Janet showed she can still hold her own amongst the newest stars, with an impressive 8-minute long performance

Her appearance sparked a wave of positive reaction from fans on Twitter.

YayaMartinez wrote: 'Just watched Janet Jackson's performance on American Idol. Gave me chills! she's amazing!'

And Annkpowers agreed: 'Janet Jackson is a great example of the kind of pop Idol can never produce: understated, beat-oriented, frankly sexual.'

The return to form for Janet comes after a traumatic 12 months for the singer.

She admited to comfort eating and as a result her waistline expanded.

But with her new movie, Why Did I Get Married Too? to film Janet embarked on a protein-heavy 1,300 to 1,650 calorie-a-day diet created by her nutritionist David Allen.

The results are obvious.

The star, who is 5ft4in tall, and Allen are now co-writing a weight-loss book, entitled True You.

Bieber the diva? Pop star Justin 'flew into temper and swore at TV crew'

Turning into a diva? Justin Bieber, pictured performing on Australia's Sunrise show, is accused of swearing at a TV production man and storming out of an interview after being asked about his tattoo

Teen popstar Justin Bieber has been accused of getting too big for his rather small boots after he allegedly flew into a swear-word tirade on a TV chat show.

The 16-year-old was appearing on morning chat show Sunrise when he allegedly told a member of the production team ‘don’t ever f****** touch me again’ when he was told where to perform.

The heart-throb, who currently has a squeaky clean image, has strenuously denied the allegation, saying he would kill the rumours 'with kindness'.

Bieber allegedly told a member of the production team ‘don’t ever f****** touch me again’ when he was told where to perform

But David Koch, co-host of the Australian show, claimed he was less than impressed by the young idol and said he needed 'a slap'.

'We had him on and he was a thoroughly nice bloke… really decent guy,’ he told Mix FM.
‘Our floor manager was directing him to where he was about to perform and he turned around to (the floor manager) Nick and said: "Don’t ever f****** touch me again".’

‘And then [Bieber's] sound guy... said 'don't take offence mate he tells us that all the time'.

The presenter was so disgusted that he declared that someone should give Bieber a ‘bit of a slap’.

According to Australian newpaper, The Daily Telegraph, seven other employees supported his statement.

Bieber, who has a huge teenage fanbase, has strenuously denied the allegation, saying he would kill the rumours 'with kindness'

But the Canadian pop sensation wrote on Twitter that the account was not true, saying: 'Family time with my mom couldn't come at a better time... I was raised to respect others and not gossip...nor answer gossip with anger.

‘I know my friends family and fans know the person I am. Hearing adults spread lies and rumours is part of the job I guess.

'But all I have to say is... kill em with kindness.'

David Koch, co-host of the Australian show, said Bieber needed 'a slap'

Bieber's appearance on the Sunrise show saw police having to control up to 4,000 female fans outside the studios after they stormed past safety barriers.

Biever was also accused of being 'a diva' at Radio One's Big Weekend in Wales.

He reportedly refused to answer any questions about his new tattoo in an interview with Radio One DJ, Fearne Cotton. He is also thought to have driven around in a backstage buggy against event rules.

The popstar was reportedly booed by crowds at the event before his performance of hit single Baby.

Last month, he told stateside's People magazine to 'get on the same page' as him after they used a picture of him laughing on the front cover for a story about his humble beginnings.

Justin reportedly tweeted 'Dear @peoplemag Covershoot…next time I laugh real crazy warn me u r still taking pics…still appreciate u but let’s get on the same page.'

He later took it down, replacing it with: 'Exclusive story and pics in the new issue of peoplemag. I look crazy as heck on the cover but if u can’t laugh at yourself u ain’t havin fun.'

Whatever the truth, he will always have one very firm fan.

Miley Cyrus, 17, joked that the pint-sized singer is her boyfriend. She said she was dating both Bieber and Australian Neighbours star Liam Hemsworth.

She said: 'I have my travel-size boyfriend and I have my oversized security boyfriend. It's perfect!'

The Hannah Montana star might want to watch out. Kim Kardashian had death threats when she joked that she was dating the popstar.
