Facing the chop: Caoimhe and Rachel are up for eviction this week in Big Brother

Big Brother housemates will be shocked by this week's nominations as newcomer Keeley's name is not among them.

Air hostess Rachel and Irish student Caoimhe have been nominated to face the public vote, but some housemates spent all day discussing how they were sure Keeley would be nominated.

The new arrival was immune from being nominated last week and Dave and John James had a secret chat in the snug in the garden this afternoon about how they did not trust her and her motives for befriending Army veteran Steve as soon as she entered the house.

As they discussed nominations Dave said: 'So that's one person that will have about six or seven votes, but I don't know who else will be up.'

Caoimhe received seven nominations. She was not allowed to nominated herself as punishment for asking housemates to nominate her on Sunday night, although she was not permitted by Big Brother to tell her fellow housemates why she was being punished.

Rachel received three nominations, and John James, Keeley and Corin received two nominations each.

Caoimhe and Rachel will take part in a Save and Replace task tomorrow and the winner will be saved from eviction and must choose another housemate to face the public vote in their place.

Caoimhe has already won the Save and Replace task twice.

Meanwhile housemates last night celebrated the show's 10th anniversary with a huge party.

After completing various tasks throughout the day to mark the milestone, housemates enjoyed Big Brother's Birthday Party with alcohol, snacks and a huge cake.

They also played party games including Pass the Parcel, which saw Keeley win a pig mask and John James receive a large pair of women's pink knickers.

Earlier in the day, housemates had competed in a birthday-style relay race which saw them split into two teams to see which could light the candle on the birthday cake first.

And after the blue team, aka Corin, John James and Mario, won in the task, they were given party bags in the evening, containing various items including a bouncy ball and a bracelet.

The party, during which housemates were also played a selection of music, appeared to cheer up the previously downcast contestants.

And last night was eventful in more ways than one as the John James and Josie love saga came to a head.

Joining in: Keeley also joined in the game to make her voice as high as possible

After Josie finally revealed to John James that she had feelings for him, housemates spent the majority of the morning discussing the revelation.

While Josie admitting she was embarrassed about telling John James, the Australian housemate told Caoimhe: 'She's got nothing to be embarrassed about. We're just two people who care about each other, that's all.'

However, John James added that even if he felt something romantic for Josie, he would never act on it inside the Big Brother house, adding that he didn't want anything to complicate his friendship with Josie.

True emotions: Josie and John James spoke about their feelings for each other

He explained: 'I was never attracted to Josie sexually because it never started off like that.

'I'm one of those people that needs it to start straight off, there's no point getting to that point now and starting something.

'I'm not going to put anybody through this drama in an environment like this... I've been good friends with her up to this point, what's the point?'

To the point: John James talks to Caoimhe about the Josie situation, telling her that he does care about Josie

And John James's honesty has been praised by Josie, who said she was more impressed by his attitude than concerned about him not having the same feelings.

She said: 'I actually idolise John for being so good about everything. I told him how I was feeling and he's just been very good about it.

'I was expecting him to look at me with disgust or something.'

After last night's party, housemates were gathered this afternoon to make their nominations for this week.

While many of them seemed nervous about nominating following Ife's eviction on Friday night, Caoimhe said she is desperate to be voted off the Channel 4 show.

Nominations are expected to be revealed later today.
