Dina in denial: Dina Lohan thinks Lindsay is just fine

She has been arrested, in and out of rehab almost four times, sent to prison and is dealing with a myriad of drug and alcohol addictions.

Yet according to Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina, there is nothing wrong with her daughter.
And if there are any problems, it's everyone's fault but Dina's.

Dina, who has been pictured out parting with Lindsay more than once, seemed either confused or clueless when Lauer stated Lindsay had been in rehab four times, insisting it was only twice.

She then changed her story to say she thought Lauer was referring to 'court appointed rehab.'

When Lauer said 'Clearly, rehab doesn't work' Dina responded with 'When you say "works" or "not works", I don't know where you're getting this from'.

Annoyed: Dina claims Lindsay is a victim of the media

She seemed increasingly defensive as the interview progressed, blaming everyone but herself for her daughter's troubles.

According to Dina, Lindsay's troubles are the fault of the paparazzi, the 'Hardball' judge, the tabloids, the city of Los Angeles, the internet, and her ex-husband Michael Lohan.

'I don't know what a stage mom is', Dina told Lauer. 'I was an entertainer'.
But Michael isn't having it.

'Dina and I caused this and we need to fix it', he says. 'Professionals have recommended that Linds needs family therapy with us, but Dina won't do it.'

Worried parent? Dina thinks Lindsay will be out of rehab soon
But according to Dina, Lindsay's behaviour is to be expected and part of her grand parenting plan.

'As a parent you have to let them go a little bit. To live and fail and survive. Without failure, there's no success,' she says.

And she says Lindsay will survive: 'I'm not going down that road. I don't foresee "her dying young.'

Shock and horror: Tearful Lindsay is sentenced to 90 days in jail
And she says Lindsay shouldn't be in rehab anyway.

'I'm not condoning drinking and driving, but she's still paying the price for what she did in 2007... She's changed. She's grown up considerably.'

Dina is not only convinced that Lindsay will be let out of rehab early, but that it will be a good thing.

'She'll be focusing on charity... and save the next victim of the tabloids.'
But who will save Lindsay?
